Saigon Express Pho in Toronto

This is a small shop close to the supermarket. There’s one entrance close to Popeyes and the other is to the main corridor of the plaza. The menu is shown in photos above and around the counter. The beef balls in #4 were cut in half so it looked like more than it was. It was an okay bowl of pho, not terrible but also not the greatest. It sufficiently filled me up and I didn’t even finish all the noodles. There is a comparable pho restaurant in the area and that one was better (had more ingredients and a better broth) than this one and cheaper as well. They were busy when we went. This would be contributed to being close to a middle school and high school.

I'm quite impress with the Pho here. it's turn out to be really good broth and decent amount of meats as well. I haven't try others dishes. but its a good quick eat and take out place.

The food is amazing and the price is right.Very cool and polite staff.

The noodles and the broth are surprisingly good, so good that I finished the soup after eating all the noodles and price is good deal for such a large portion for a meal. Highly recommend this place if you want something comforting and on a budget.

Great little place run by 2 hard working owners who serve with pride. Though it's a small place in a mall, they put out a great variety of food choices to please the crowd. Absolutely love it. Best pork chop rice!!

I am actually very impressed with this joint. I didn't expect much as it was a Vietnamese far food restaurant run by Chinese employees. However my first experience was so good I came back a week later. The Pho broth was spot on, and the Vermicelli bowls was a delight. The service was very friendly as well. It's hard to find a good Vietnamese restaurant in the eastern part of North York. Well done!

good staff, this is counter service and you grab a table, the pho is okay

I have been here twice now and both times I was impressed with the food here. It’s a very unassuming place located in peanut plaza - at first glance it doesn’t look like it would be good but surprisingly the food here is even better than some actual pho restaurants.I have had the beef and meatball pho, pad Thai and chicken vermicelli and all are pretty good. Portions are generous for the price. I also highly recommend their iced milk tea - creamy yet not too sweet!

The restaurant does not look outstanding but they have great food with reasonable price, which makes me coming back.

We came by for a quick lunch, we ordered a Beef & Brisket Pho and a Chicken Pho. The beef Pho was good but the chicken tasted like packaged grilled chicken and the broth didn't have much taste. No mint, lime or additional bean sprout like traditional Pho restaurant. If you want a quick lunch then it will be fine.

Nice people. Fast. Loads of great food for a decent price. Going regularly.

This place is a surprise find. Its in a strip mall, hidden away unless you walk in and wonder to the popeyes or go to the grocery store Ton Tai. Tried the pho and it was great! Won't be the best but for the value and speedy service you won't be let down

even though it's a small walk up dinner in the plaza I figured I'd give them a try. had the coconut chicken fried rice and they must put some secret sauce in it because it was lovely. just enough coconut flavor to make your mouth water.

Beef meatballs soups taste good!:) but why ONLY THIS restaurant charge for container when you want to bring home your leftovers food u haven't finished????

Not really sure if this is authentic Vietnamese... Quite oily and bland compared to food I had in Vietnam. Service was pretty good. I should try something else next time.

Very clean fresh meals very tasty i absolutely love it and recommend it most dishes under 10 bucks.. u can't go wrong..Best pha thai in town!!👍

This pho place has decent pho for being inside a little mall. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and it wasn't bland. Good portion and price for my meal. I would come back here again.

Wish they can open earlier for breakfast. It should be nice to eat a bowl of pho in the morning.Taste of pho is above average

Love this place! Very yummy Pho and fried rice.

Was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavour of the broth. Noodles were perfect. Meats were quality cuts and well portioned. I'll be back if I'm in this area in the future.

Not a very large menu, but what is offered is very good. I regularly visit for pho or bun. The prices are reasonable and the restaurant is conveniently located at the southern entrance of Peanut Plaza.

We have been going here for years, since they opened.It goes to prove: healthy fare does not mean tasteless. This is healthy, fresh, vibrant, tasty Vietnamese food, prepared with care and finesse. The pho' here is good, not too salty. I have the vermicelli with salad and grilled pork, thinly cut. Not sure what marinade they use but it is addictive. The salad rolls - out of this world. Had the cafe da and am still bouncing off the walls from the caffeine - hard core, smooth, real Viet coffee. Regular customers, everyone knows everyone else, it is like being in a family members home for lunch. Nice, welcoming and warm atmosphere. Love this place. NICE people running the restaurant

Ordered the Beef pho and wanton soup! It was great! Be back soon! It was a huge portion of soup. Now i am wondering why one reviewer said that the Food was only a small portion maybe she has a big stomach and cannot fill a big bowl of soup for herself. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I've been coming here for the last 3 years and can vouch that you will not get a better value anywhere else for the same type of food. Their pho is spot on and generous in portion. In terms of customer service, the owner is quick, direct, and accurate which is all I need. I have been coming here ordering take out during the early days of covid. Unfortunately they don't seem to be open at this time.

Good food but not the best. Okay portion. It would have been 4 stars if they put more portion and bigger shrimps. They use those tiny frozen white shrimps. I don’t give 5 stars only if it is mind blowing good.

The guy by the counter is not the most friendly in the world, but the food is good and the price is just! One dish is enough for me and my wife. Thumbs up!
